wedding photography, digital photographyBy the way the photographer told me to move right into the back of the group behind the bride and groom, I thought he thought I was a family member. The ceremony had concluded and the final pictures of friends and family in the church snapped. Wedding photography of the newlyweds, of the groom and his family, the bride and her family, all the friends and then came the group shot. I’m pretty tall and have become used to shuffling to the back for any digital photography. After placed on the right shoulder of the groom, red flags immediately went up. This seemed like a position for one of the brothers, not just a friend. I asked his younger brother if he wanted to switch places and he said it was OK so I stayed.

The wedding photography shots showed up and there I was, head popping over everyone, hovering to the right of the newlyweds like I was his brother. My buddies caught it immediately. Nothing I could do anymore. I’ll forever be in the center of my friend’s wedding photography.
