digital photography With only days remain to figure out what is happening this Fourth of July many people have plans to take some sort of digital photography of get-togethers, family BBQs or firework displays. I have been doing a little bit of research to figure out how to come away with the best firework pictures. Shooting at night and following a rapid colorful explosion is sometimes more difficult then pressing the “shoot” button. Shutter speed, ISO settings and lens type all have an effect. Not to mention the specific camera. Product wise there is a multitude of tools for digital photography.

An SLR camera is built for movement and will result in high quality digital photography. With a steady hand and nice timing, smaller compact cameras will also be able to pick up firework explosions. Playing with the shutter speed will affect how much light gets into the lens and can almost blur a photo.  The great thing about firework displays is there is a lot of time for digital photography if the first shots don’t look good. Here is to a great weekend with no rain.
